The Odesa State University of Internal Affairs is part of the Ukrainian National Ministry of Internal Affairs' network of eight universities. Six of them are in located in major provincial cities.
Odesa State University of Internal Affairs dates back to in 1922 and took its current name in 2008.
Students can study across faculties for preventive activity, and pre-trial investigation, and the state Police Academy. It offers qualifications in law and law enforcement at levels from bachelor to doctoral, psychology at bachelor to doctoral, and criminal analysis at master's. General legal disciplines are supplemented by specialist options such as cybercrime, fire training and investigation.
The Police Training Academy is part of the Vocational and Training Section which also trains security guards at four levels taking three to four weeks each, a Professional Level seven-week course and a five-week programme for senior security officers.
The Police Academy¡¯s facilities include three training areas simulating real-life landscapes.
Since 2013, a legal clinic has been run for the public.?
