About the role?

Delivery and transformational impact are hallmarks of our regional civic activity. This role will play a key part in sustaining civic projects already underway and taking our civic agenda to the next ambitious level.

As deputy to the Director, Civic University, this is an exciting opportunity to show strategic and dynamic leadership and be able to represent the core aims of the Civic University of Southampton to external and internal senior partners.

The post presents opportunities for creative approaches to issues identified by civic partners, and the communities, and private and public sectors embraced in the region. ?

The role involves forging and maintaining strong collaborations and exploring revenue generating activities and funding for the Civic agenda.

About you?

You will be an experienced manager of teams and partnerships with a focus on strategic thinking and a creative vision.

Experience and insight into working with business/industry and a diversity of organisations across the public sector will be welcome. ?You will be action focused, good at analysing complex issues and devising a way forward. You will enjoy networking and forging new productive partnerships.

Faculty of Science and Technology - FST

Faculty of Science and Technology aims to provide programmes for undergraduate and graduate education with quality reaching international standard. Qualifications


	A PhD degree in Computer Science, Traffic Engineering or related disciplines;?
	A distinguished record of internationally-recognized research and scholarship;
	Demonstrable competence in communication; and
	English is the working language, while knowledge in Chinese/Portuguese will be an advantage.


The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2025.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. The School of Natural Sciences is looking to appoint a Level A (Associate Lecturer) Teaching and Research Academic in the field of Evolutionary and Developmental Biology. This is a 4-year fixed-term position (replacing staff on secondment) aimed at growing and strengthening research in these fields.

Key strengths of the School of Natural Sciences include access to a world class wildlife research facility, allowing for the use of Australian wildlife models for investigating key questions in evolutionary and developmental biology, as well as world class multi-omics, molecular biology, and tissue culture facilities in modern purpose-built research laboratories.

The successful applicant will also help to train the next generation of biological and biomedical scientists through undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision, with ample opportunities to build their career as a balanced academic. The School is particularly interested in researchers with a capacity for and interest in teaching into the field of evolutionary medicine. Courses relevant to this position include the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medical Science.

The Department of Computer Science at Royal Holloway, University of London is looking to appoint a lecturer to support its research and teaching. The Department has a record of outstanding research and was ranked 17th overall among UK computer science departments in the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021, Times Higher Education ranking). We have very strong research groups in the areas of Intelligent Systems, Machine Learning, Algorithms and Complexity, and Programming Languages and Systems. It has also made recent appointments in Quantum Computing and Software Engineering, and there are strong collaborations with the Information Security Department.

The Department is committed to delivering outstanding teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and consistently achieves excellent results in graduate prospects metrics (93% graduates in graduate-level employment or further study within 15 months, Guardian ranking for 2025). Our software engineering teaching has been hailed as a ‘best practice’ example by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.

We are seeking to appoint a lecturer in Computer Science and welcome applications that would complement and/or strengthen our existing areas of research. The Riddet Institute is a world-best research centre in food and nutritional sciences, providing fundamental scientific understanding and training for a new generation of science leaders. The Institute integrates partner organisations (Massey University (host), Auckland and Otago Universities, AgResearch and Plant and Food Research) and disciplines, leading a 'NZ Inc' approach to food research, and generates knowledge and capability that transforms the New Zealand food industry.

We are seeking a high-achieving Senior Research Officer to work as part of the Sustainable Nutrition Initiative? team. The role will contribute to multiple projects, most notably food system modelling contributing to open access national models incorporating nutrition.

A primary focus for this key position will be to develop a model for the Kenyan food system. This involves synthesising data to create an interactive food system scenario model, in collaboration with our international partners. Strong relationship building skills and a willingness to travel to Kenya as part of the role will be required.

As the successful candidate you will have completed a PhD in mathematics, statistics, data science, nutrition, food, or agriculture, ideally with demonstrated expertise in modelling and nutrition datasets. You will also demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as high motivation and enthusiasm to work with an interdisciplinary team.

The salary will be commensurate with experience and will be in the range of Senior Research Officer ($101,724 - $143,948 NZD) for a full-time (37.5h p/w), fixed-term period of three years located in Palmerston North.
