Elevated to university status in 2005, Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi is a science and technology focused institution located in the central region of Thailand. It is comprised of four campuses, covering three provinces: two in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya, one in Nonthaburi, and one in Suphanburi, all located to the north of Bangkok.
The university is one of nine in the Rajamangala University of Technology system, a network of higher education systems established to offer practical and diverse academic programmes that are industry-led in the field of science and technology.
Having originally been a part of the vocational college system, the university continues to offer vocational level courses, as well as bachelor, masters, and doctorate level degrees. At present, there are seven bachelor level programmes, three masters level programmes, and one doctorate programme on offer at the university. Courses range from accountancy and business, to arts, science, engineering architecture and industrial technology.
Being spread across several provinces, students have ample chance to engage in local culture and explore nearby attraction such as markets, visiting temples and engaging in outdoor activities. Campus life is vibrant, with clubs, societies, sports and events for students to engage in.
Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi is also focussed on community engagement, offering further opportunities for students to get involved in development projects and community service initiatives.
