Based in Ede, Osun State, Redeemer's University is a private university which was founded in 2005.
Students can study across faculties of basic medical science, engineering, built environment, humanities, law, management science, natural science, and social science.
Research centres at the university include the African Centre of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases which was founded in 2013, and in 2021 won the Nigeria Academy of Sciences gold medal for work on infectious diseases
It offers all undergraduates a place in the two halls of residence on its 812 acre campus. Students can get involved with a range of sporting activities including football, basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, table tennis, athletics and indoor games.
Alumni include former Student Union president Dedo Adedayo, who performs as actor, comedian and campaigner Mr Macaroni.
