The School of Natural Sciences is looking to appoint a Level A (Associate Lecturer) Teaching and Research Academic in the field of Evolutionary and Developmental Biology. This is a 4-year fixed-term position (replacing staff on secondment) aimed at growing and strengthening research in these fields.

Key strengths of the School of Natural Sciences include access to a world class wildlife research facility, allowing for the use of Australian wildlife models for investigating key questions in evolutionary and developmental biology, as well as world class multi-omics, molecular biology, and tissue culture facilities in modern purpose-built research laboratories.

The successful applicant will also help to train the next generation of biological and biomedical scientists through undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision, with ample opportunities to build their career as a balanced academic. The School is particularly interested in researchers with a capacity for and interest in teaching into the field of evolutionary medicine. Courses relevant to this position include the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medical Science.

	A PhD in Evolutionary Biology or a closely related discipline in the biological sciences
	Demonstrated track record of research excellence in developmental and evolutionary biology as evidenced by high quality publications, awards, fellowships, and/or competitive grant funding

Postdoctoral Researcher

Masaryk University, Faculty of Economics and Administration, is looking for a?highly motivated and productive Postdoctoral Researcher on the following fields: business management with an emphasis on human resource management, strategic management, sustainable business management, or business information technology management. We are offering a?full-time early career position with a?3-year contract.

The position is designed to allow the candidate to work in one of three established teams corresponding to the candidate’s background and research focus. The main agenda will be publishing papers?in international top journals within the field, attracting external research funding, and developing international research cooperation. Limited participation in teaching (both lecturing and tutoring in English) is also a?part of the job.

We are looking for a?candidate:


	In the early career stage after the Ph.D. graduation,
	with a?Ph.D. degree (or expected to get the degree by June 2025) in business management, business administration, human resource management, economics, finance, psychology, or a?related field from a?respected ranked university,
	with research interest in?strategic management, sustainable business management, business technology management, or human resource management, which is evident from the candidate's?previous research and other activities,
	with excellent background in statistics and quantitative research methods relevant to the field,
	potential to publish in leading international scientific journals,
	able to discuss, write, and teach in English (at least C1 level),
	ready to start the job in February 2025 or in September 2025.


What does the position entail?


	Planning and conducting research studies, writing research manuscripts,
	active collaboration with other department members on research and teaching,
	publishing research papers in leading international journals,
	submission of grant proposals,
	international research and project collaboration,
	participation in teaching bachelor and master courses for 2 -?4 hours a?week, 24 weeks per year,
	supervision of student theses,
	popularization of own research agenda to the public.

About the Position

This rare opportunity will be offered to an outstanding leader and researcher for an initial three-year appointment with the intention of extension if agreed performance outcomes are met. Established in 2010, the Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare (IEBH) is currently Bond University's only whole-of-University interdisciplinary research Institute. The Institute engages with a globally connected team of highly skilled, interdisciplinary researchers and educators. We aim to guide individuals and groups to consider ways to provide sustainable, evidence-based healthcare and how research can better inform policy and practice. The Institute aims to improve healthcare by better understanding the causes of, and solutions to, gaps between research evidence and its application in practice and policy. The Evidence-Based Practice Unit (EBPU) is a team of experienced research professionals located at the Gold Coast University Hospital. We provide GCHHS staff with support in using, conducting, and translating high-quality research and activities into practice. This is a joint initiative between Bond University and the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Services (GCHHS) located on-site in Southport. The Unit aims to improve the efficiency and quality of care patients receive and deliver translation research that also uplifts clinician-researcher and EMCR capacity at the GCHHS.

About the person

We are seeking an energetic and proactive leader, ideally a clinician-researcher, who brings strategic vision, academic rigor, and proven experience in clinical environments and multidisciplinary team collaboration. This role is based at Bond University's Robina campus and the Evidence-Based Practice Unit at Gold Coast Hospital, Southport.

In this senior academic leadership position, you will contribute to the leadership, management and strategic direction of the Institute for Evidence-based Healthcare and lead a program of clinical research that aligns with the major Institute themes.

Reporting to the Director of the Institute, you will provide direction for the Evidence-Based Practice Unit based at GCHHS. The portfolio at GCHHS includes uplifting research capability and delivery in implementation science, research and teaching, contracting and support services such as statistics and philanthropy. Additionally, you will be instrumental in building research and clinical capacity among the hospitals and Institute staff.
