Established in 1987, Tikrit University is one of the largest public universities in Iraq. The university is located on the banks of the ancient Tigris river in the city of Tikrit, Saladin Province, Iraq.
The university offers undergraduate and graduate courses in a wide range of disciplines ranging from medicine, engineering and law to arts and education.
The university offers students a wide range of academic colleges to study in ranging from the College of Islamic Studies to the College of Petroleum Minerals. The university also has several centres such as the Cisco Networking Centre, Electronic Computer Centre, and Research Centre of Natural Resource for assisting student research and education.
The university offers its students a range of study abroad programs through various bilateral scholarships and cultural scholarships such as the Swiss scholarships, Qatar University Scholarship and the Omani Fellowship.
Tikrit University also has a large campus, with open areas and many amenities for students. There are several student clubs, departments and a career centre that organises several events, activities and workshops each year to help students with their professional and personal growth.
The Tikrit University is accredited by the Accreditation Service for International Colleges and Universities (ASIC UK) and is currently working to partner with academic institutions across the world to build a global academic network.
