The UniNettuno (International Telematic University) is a private university based in Rome. It was founded in 2005.
It is a consortium of 43 universities, companies and public bodies that provide distance e-learning courses.
It delivers undergraduate, master's and specialist degrees. Courses are delivered in Italian, Arabic, English and French.
There is a dedicated area for students where teaching and learning takes places across the above languages. Students are able to access lessons, multimedia products, databases, exercises, evaluation, online tutoring and forums. Students can enrol online.
Students can access digital libraries and electronic scientific resources. There are a number of multidisciplinary publishing houses such as Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Sage and Nature that students are able to gain access to. Additionally there are a number of journals that are dedicated to specific subject areas such as engineering, computer science, chemical science and physical science.
The university has a number of international agreements with universities and ministries around the world including Greece, Poland, Romania, Colombia, Algeria, Morocco, China, Singapore and Dubai among others. Students from more than 160 countries have enrolled at the university. The university is also part of the Erasmus+ and Erasmus Mundus programme. Students are also offered the opportunity to take part in the Erasmus for young entrepreneurs programme.
It has introduced a master of science in health management for students that are interested in the health sector. The focus is on health management in a global and local environment.
Research activity at the institution centres around how technology can be applied to the learning process.
