Applications are invited for appointment as?Clinical Practitioner in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine?(Ref.: 531425), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification?registrable?with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, and a higher qualification in general practice/family medicine. They should demonstrate proven clinical experience, with a strong interest and commitment to medical teaching, and be able to contribute to the development of new clinical service or academic programs for the Department and the Faculty. Proven capacity and interest in medical research would be an advantage. Direct communication with patients is required and the languages employed are English, Cantonese or Putonghua.

The appointee is expected to provide regular clinical services at the University’s clinical sites. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary.

About the opportunity

The Exam Precinct and Presiding Officer works with the Exams Office in Student Administration Services (SAS) and will take a hands-on approach assisting the exams office in the efficient running of centrally managed examinations.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with a range of staff across SAS portfolio and in the wider University environment to meet work objectives. As an Exam Precinct and Presiding Officer, you will work independently under the close guidance of the Examinations Office to ensure that exam activities are completed to strict deadlines, within the rule, regulations, and procedures of the University.

We are seeking multiple Exam Precinct and Presiding Officers to take on varying tasks (outlined below) to support with exams sessions throughout the year, including the upcoming examination period, which will run from 10 - 21 June 2025. This role is ideal for an individual with flexible and full availability over this 2-week period (evening and weekend shifts also available).

If successful, you will also be required to undertake online training components from Monday 19 May. There will be mandatory on-site training days on Tuesday 3 June and Thursday 5 June, pending on which role you a selected for (breakdown of roles below) - Please ensure you are available on these days.

Exam Precinct Officer

Exam Precinct Officers are the first point of contact on the ground and are responsible for providing guidance and support to exam supervisors, service room attendants and students during examinations. On-site training day will be Tuesday 3 June May

Presiding Officer

Presiding Officers provide guidance and support to exam supervisors and students in large-capacity venues of 150+ students. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the exam venue runs efficiently and on time. Training will involve shadowing an experienced Presider during the exam period. On-the-job training will be from Tuesday 10 June.

Presiding Officer (Alternative Exams)

Presiding Officers provide guidance and support to exam supervisors and students with exam adjustments in a group room. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that students' exam adjustments have been applied and that exams are running efficiently and on time. On-site training day will be Thursday 5 June.

Your key responsibilities will be to:


	actively monitor the conduct of examinations within an exams precinct or large venue to ensure exams are running effectively to University standards and procedures
	provide guidance to Exam Supervision staff regarding exam processes
	provide the first point of contact between the exam venue and the Exams Office and escalate any issues to the Exams Office
	oversee the set-up of venues, materials provided, and exam papers are correct for exam venues before exam sessions commence
	assist in the monitoring and supervision of Exam Supervisor's attendance and performance
	facilitate the ID checking processes for students who do not have appropriate ID
	respond to a range of enquiries from staff and students
	perform work activities relevant to the role's key accountabilities as approved by the Exams Coordination Officer and commensurate to the role's classification level.


About you


	previous experience with supervising/invigilating examination sessions and student administration experience in centralised examinations area within a tertiary environment
	experience in handling large volume of enquiries and administrative workload within a highly regulated area, deadline driven and customer service focused environment
	experience in the provision of excellent customer service, together with well-developed written and verbal communications skills within a strong customer service focused environment
	working knowledge of University reporting and record management systems
	advanced computer skills including the MS Office suite
	excellent attention to detail
	strong problem solving skills, the ability to use initiative, exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.
	well developed interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The King’s College London Gene Therapy Vector Facility (GTVF) provides comprehensive GMP-grade viral vector manufacturing services. This includes Lentiviral Vector (LV), Retroviral Vector (RV) and Adeno-Associated Viral Vector (AAV) production for early-phase clinical trials, alongside substantial programmes in process innovation, knowledge transfer and training to address critical skills shortages.??

??The GTVF is run by a large, industry-leading team of >50 people who have extensive experience in delivering end-to-end viral vector manufacture for both academic and commercial clients, with a focus on early-stage clinical trials. ? ?

About the role

GTVF is a CMO for the manufacture of early phase viral vector for drug substance and drug product. The group manufactures retroviral vector, lentiviral vector and AAV.

Quality Lead? - New product introduction / Regulatory Affairs for the Gene Therapy Vector Facility (GTVF) at Kings is a new role which will have responsibility for the new product quality management related to Gene Therapy GMP manufacturing activities for drug product and drug substance and analytical.

The post holder will work with colleagues in Production, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Business Development, Process and Analytical Development, to ensure that product lifecycle, process validation, tech transfer is set up and managed according to ICH requirements and that GTVF remain upto date with the latest regulatory requirements, and lead inspection readiness campaigns

Establish systems to manage the registered details and operate in accordance with the pharmaceutical quality system. Manage licence variations.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Quality . The post holder may lead a team in the future or improvement project involving a matrix management approach.

The function will be responsible for aspects of the PQS related to product quality, manage audits and inspections, monitor and report on compliance activities, manage the quality risk management process and implement improvements and regulatory requirements as required.

This is a full time (35 hours per week) and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria


	Higher degree in a relevant science, or life science discipline
	Experience working in IMP / commercial pharmaceutical organisations within GMP Pharma/Biotech/Contract Manufacturing organisation (CMO) sectors compliant with MHRA, EU and FDA requirements
	Experience in preparation of IMPDs for cell and gene therapy based clinical trials and the management of regulatory requests for information
	Extensive knowledge of QA and QC systems and techniques for cell and gene therapy products and management of change e.g., incoming materials, bioreactors
	Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.? Significant experience of building and leading a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
	Experience of setting up systems and processes for the manufacture, test, pack release of drug product for early phase clinical trials
	Experience in project management techniques applied to inspection readiness and managing action plans in response to regulatory changes
	High level of work organization, agility, self-motivation, drive for performance and improvement and understanding of risk based approach in advanced therapies / biotech field


Desirable criteria


	Experience and knowledge of process development and change management of cell and gene therapy products? / Biopharm. Including implementation of control strategies.
