Universidad San Marcos has a history that dates back to 1922 when the Manuel Aragón School of Commerce was established, specialising in accounting and computing.
The university is centrally located in the heart of San José, the capital of Costa Rica.
The university offers a variety of degree programmes at bachelors, master’s and doctoral level across various disciplines including business administration, engineering, health sciences, arts, and social sciences.
The university is the only one of its kind in the country to offer 100 per cent virtual undergraduate programmes approved by the Ministry of Public Education and CONESUP. Through these programmes, students are given access to flexible schedules and virtual platforms that are easy to connect to.
