The Department of Accounting and Information Management (DAIM) at Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) invites applications for the position of Full Professor in Business Intelligence and Analytics (Information Systems).

FBA is one of the largest faculties in the University and a well-established full-service business faculty with AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS accreditations. It is a distinctive flagship business school in the region, playing a vital role in business and management education with key responsibilities in nurturing the leadership talents for the development of Macao and beyond as its mission states. It bridges academic education with real-world practice and actively engages with industry and professional bodies, strives to be a world-class business faculty, aiming to create a significant impact on the business community and society, thus contributing to the economic and sustainable development of Macao and beyond.

FBA provides education in both traditional and emerging subjects of business and management, ranging from Accounting, Finance, Business Economics, Information Systems and Management, Marketing, General Management, to specialised Integrated Resort and Tourism Management. DAIM has a fast-growing group in business intelligence and analytics. Our faculty members in this group have published in top journals (e.g. Information Systems Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Accounting Research, Operations Research, Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Annals of Statistics, JASA, Journal of Econometrics, JBES, Nature Communications). The Department provides its faculty members with excellent research support including a start-up research grant, reasonable teaching load, and state-of-the-art facilities. The Department aims to build a stronger team of business intelligence and analytics scholars in the coming years. Hence, we are conducting a global recruitment of Full Professor in Business Intelligence and Analytics (Information Systems).

Qualifications

As part of its strategic development, FBA is conducting a global recruitment of Full Professor in Business Intelligence and Analytics (Information Systems). Applicants should (1) be an established scholar with a doctoral degree in the field of Business Intelligence and Analytics (including Information Systems and other closely related disciplines); (2) have a well-established track record of research excellence substantiated by publication in top-tier journals, and a strong commitment to mentoring junior researchers; and (3) have the ability to teach any undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses in Business Intelligence and Analytics.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty by August 2025.

Remuneration

The remuneration is commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions. Specialist / Laboratory Technician?position is available at the Research Program Unit at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Helsinki.

About the position

We are seeking a motivated applicants working on allergy mechanisms using in vitro and in vivo models. The employee will conduct research in a Finnish Research Council funded project focusing on the mechanisms of food allergies and their desensitization. The main task of the Specialist / Laboratory Technician will be to perform experiments in various study set-ups and analyze the obtained data. The position requires hands-on experience and basic knowledge on in vitro and in vivo studies. The position is initially for 10 months, with the possibility for extension through application for further funding.

Qualifications\

Ideal candidate has MSc (or PhD) degree in physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, or a degree in a similar field. Excellent team working and communication skills are required. Successful implementation of the tasks will require ability to work independently and as a member of a group. Strong candidate will have previous experience on cell cultures, immunological methods (e.g. flow cytometry and qPCR) and a FeLaSa certificate.

What we offer

The appointment is fixed term until the end of August 2025 but the position can be extended depending on the availability of funding. A 4-month trial period will be applied.

The salary is based on the job requirement scheme for specialist and support staff according to the salary system of the Finnish universities. In addition, the appointee will be paid a personal salary component. In total, the starting gross salary is between 2800-3700 EUR per month.

Several exciting opportunities have arisen for Electrical and Senior Electrical Technicians to join the newly-restructured Maintenance Services team at the University of Surrey.

Working as part of a team responsible for the operational maintenance of University premises, you will be undertaking planned and reactive work on electrical systems to support the University’s infrastructure and environmental control systems across all our premises, ensuring that they are maintained in a safe, efficient, and functional order.

The post will be required to support our current day pattern of 08.00 – 16.12 Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities include:


	Maintain all electrical systems, including statutory inspection and testing where required, to meet current legislative requirements.
	Ensure failing plant or assets are reported to the Helpdesk and plant areas are maintained in good condition.
	Deliver an effective and timely response to maintenance demands across the University in a timely and cost-effective manner.
	Ensure compliance with all University Health and Safety and Environmental systems and procedures, and take an active part in the development of these policies
	Ensure the use of equipment and materials in delivery of maintenance services are appropriate and meet current legislative standards.
	Keep up to date with electrical related legislation and developments, attending courses to improve knowledge and passing necessary exams to maintain professional accreditation where relevant.
	Carry out multi-skilled tasks such as mechanical isolation and fault finding, minor carpentry, redecoration repairs linked to maintenance work.


For the senior role,?you’ll need good planning, organising and prioritising skills, and will be expected to tackle more complex tasks, take on additional responsibilities and communicate effectively at a senior level.

The post holder may be required to support out of hours rotas as required by the SSM (Service Support Manager) to ensure operational effectiveness and business continuity.
