Founded by Professor Dr. Ali Muhealdin in 2008, the University of Human Development is a non-profit national university situated in Kurdistan. The university is under the supervision of Kurdistan's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The University of Human Development is a coeducational higher education institution and offers pre-bachelor degrees (certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
It is located in the large city of Sulaymaniyah (also known as Slemani) in Kurdistan, which has a population of 800,000 people. It is in Eastern Kurdistan, close to the Iran-Iraq border. The Azmer mountain range, Goyija Range and the Qaiwan Mountain Range in the northeast are all near the University of Human Development, as are the Baranan Mountain in the south and the Tasluja hills in the west. Slemani has very hot dry summers and cool wet winters.
