The Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Vienna is an innovative and future-orientated faculty. Your workplace:

As a Senior Lecturer, you will be employed in the area of IT systems engineering fundamentals. You will primarily design and lead introductory and in-depth courses on topics such as modelling methods, information systems engineering, databases, operating systems and the associated technical foundations of computer science. You will develop the courses you supervise in line with the current state of research and harmonise the content with the other courses in the curriculum. You will organise the courses according to modern didactic principles, help to determine the requirements for the necessary technical infrastructure and coordinate these with the relevant departments.

The position can also be filled on a part-time basis (20 hours/week).

The employment level of 40 hours/week includes an average teaching commitment of 14 semester hours per week of academic teaching, with an employment level of 20 hours/week an average of 7 semester hours per week of academic teaching.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in scientific teaching, research & administration, which means:


	You will teach courses at Bachelor's and Master's level independently or together with other lecturers
	You will make an active contribution to the (further) development of course and examination formats
	We expect from you the ongoing reception of the current state of science as well as continuing didactic training. Research activities are welcome, but not mandatory.
	In addition, the assumption of administrative tasks, especially in the administration of teaching, is part of the job profile.

	Completed doctorate in the field of computer science/business informatics
	Broad basic education in computer science (e.g. Master's degree in computer science or equivalent)
	Several years of independent teaching experience at a post-secondary educational institution

	Excellent language skills in German and English (written and spoken) or willingness to quickly acquire excellent German skills if excellent English skills are available
	Practical (professional) experience in software development or software engineering

Qualifications


	A PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, or related disciplines;?
	Candidates should have considerable experience in academic development planning and research development, and be excellence in teaching, research and service with outstanding academic leadership skills for research and development;
	A distinguished record of internationally-recognized research;
	Substantial experience in securing research funding;
	Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
	English is the working language, while knowledge in Chinese/Portuguese will be an advantage.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. About the Role

The Lecturer in Industrial Design is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School, in the discipline of industrial design. More specifically, the Lecturer is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate, Masters and Graduate Diploma programs and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities.

The Lecturer is also expected to actively promote and support the program(s) by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. The Lecturer is expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and update colleagues and students on developments in their subject area or specialisation.

To be successful in this position, you will have:


	Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials.
	Ability to undertake course coordination role.
	Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning.
	Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications, design works, awards, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
	Demonstrated ability to supervise higher degree by research and honours candidates.

About the role

As a Research Fellow you will be part of an international interdisciplinary and multi-institutional research team in the area of One Health. You will be part of a multi-state research project implementing community-based mental wellbeing and disaster preparedness programs in natural hazard-prone rural communities across NSW, SA and WA. The project will also assess longer-term mental health outcomes of rural Australians. This project will critically contribute to rural health, disaster preparedness, and protecting mental health and wellbeing in the face of climate change. Your role will include supporting the establishment and implementation of the research project, overseeing data collection, contributing to quantitative, qualitative and/or longitudinal data analysis, and preparation of publications, reports and conference presentations. You will work independently under guidance of the chief investigator team, and in collaboration with the trial coordinator and research assistants, and help to supervise postgraduate or Honours students.

???????The School of Psychology currently has an exciting opportunity for a research fellow within the new One Health research pillar. The School of Psychology at UNE is rated at well above world standard for research across topic areas, with key research streams including Environmental Psychology, and Psychosocial Health and Wellbeing in Rural Communities.

The Psychosocial Health and Wellbeing Research Group comprises academics with a particular focus on understanding the mental health of those living in rural populations, including in response to natural disasters such as drought and fires which particularly impact rural communities. The Environmental Psychology and Climate Change Research Group comprises academic staff and students who are interested in how psychological principles can be applied to understand and help solve problems related to environmental sustainability and helping individuals and communities adapt to climate change. Projects examine the impacts of climate change and resultant natural hazards such as fire, flood, cyclones and drought on health and wellbeing. Research projects also focus on how to build resilient individuals and communities, including through interventions to support the well-being of those affected by natural hazards and climate anxiety.
