The University of la Sabana, based in Colombia, was founded in 1979. It¡¯s located in Chia, a suburb just 20 minutes away from Bogot¨¢, the capital city.

The university is part of a small group of institutions of higher education in Colombia with High Quality Institutional Accreditation.

The university offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate and PhD programmes, including: business administration, nursing, physiotherapy, industrial engineering, law, medicine, gastronomy, philosophy, economics and international finance.

Courses are offered both on campus and virtually to enable students to find a course to suit and fit in with their lives.

Recently, the School of Engineering, alongside the School of Medicine and the University Hospital, developed a fast-track prototype of an invasive mechanical ventilator, capable of providing the respiratory support required by Covid-19 patients in respiratory failure to preserve life.

The campus, which covers 62 hectares, includes nine laboratories, a large library holding around 80,000 titles, a media production centre, a university clinic and a language centre, which offers English, French and Mandarin language courses.

It also has space for large sports fields and spaces for outdoor activities. On site, there are tennis and volleyball courts, a table tennis room, a beach volleyball court and a gymnasium.

Students at the university are able to participate in foreign exchange programmes, internships, and specialisations at universities across the world, including Germany, Australia, France, Japan, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and the United States. The university also hosts international students from around the world.
