This is an exciting entry-level opportunity within the Digital Learning Team supporting a key digital and educational project at the University of Southampton. As a Learning Technologist, you will use your strong customer service skills and problem solving abilities to provide front-line support and guidance to academic and professional staff during a key point in the Blackboard Ultra Migration project.

About the Role

This is a key role in a high-impact project at the University of Southampton. As a Learning Technologist, you will offer front-line support to academic and professional colleagues to ensure the effective and timely migration of teaching and learning content from Blackboard Classic to Blackboard Ultra.

Working closely with Applications Specialists and Learning Designers, you will recommend good practice based on established pedagogic benchmarks, technical workflows, and WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards, to advocate for a more consistent and accessible student experience through 1-2-1 support and group training sessions.

Your ability to recognise good practice, diagnose common technical issues, and support a diverse range of stakeholders will benefit the Blackboard Ultra project and the Digital Learning team as you develop technical and pedagogic skills to support your own continued professional development.

What you’ll do?


	Deliver comprehensive, effective, and efficient support and guidance to individuals and groups in the areas of learning technologies, digital accessibility, and iterative improvement applied to teaching and digital capability. ? ?
	Support the development of online content, learning materials and guides for use in a wide range of teaching contexts taking account of good practice recommendations and varied learner needs.
	Engage with wider teams to ensure standards and established workflows are understood and applied consistently through training and guidance. ?
	Provide advice and guidance to colleagues in day-to-day activities to maintain operational effectiveness.

	Experience of supporting digital education technologies or a Virtual Learning Environment.

The Division of Engineering (Civil & Urban Engineering) seeks to recruit a Postdoctoral Associate to work on a broader field of geotechnical engineering.

Required Qualifications:

A successful applicant must have a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on one or more of the following:?


	Artificial intelligence applications in geotechnical engineering
	Bioremediation and geoenvironmental engineering
	Geohazards risk assessment and management via remote sensing
	Energy geotechnics
	Advanced experimental testing and field instrumentation


Research Project:

The successful applicant will lead a fascinating project aimed at enhancing the state in designing and managing efficient and environment-friendly infrastructure and energy systems. The Post-Doctoral Associate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of researchers, graduate students and undergraduate students. The Postdoctoral Associate is expected to continuously document research progress in the form of scientific publications to be submitted to reputable journals.

About the role

We are looking for a Programme Officer to join our Professional Services team in the Arts Cluster to support the Film Studies and Music Department, working within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at one of the most prestigious universities in the UK.

In the group of?Univ.Prof.Dr. Christoph Rademacher?at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Vienna is a PhD position in the Marie Slodowska-Curie Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN) "AUREUS" available. The aim of the AUREUS network is to train a new generation of researchers as a response to the increasing need for a highly qualified work force? in the field of chemical biology to counteract multidrug resistant S.aureus infections.

AUREUS’ intersectoral program is based on a unique international team, including companies, combining expertise in from different fields including chemistry, (micro-)biology and immunology.

The AUREUS network will provide doctoral candidates with broad, top-class scientific and professional competences and skills, thereby expanding the pipeline of future leaders for both industry and academia. Moreover, DCs will be trained in transferable skills, such as scientific communication and presentation of scientific data, team building, entrepreneurship, intellectual property rights and business management, gender equality in research, research ethics and outreach to society. Your future tasks: You will acquire complementary skills to exploit and develop different and innovative strategies to:

	working and maintaining primary cells under sterile conditions gain greater insights into the molecular recognition of S. aureus WTA by the human immune system. harness the acquired knowledge to rationally design and develop effective small molecule inhibitors and immune-based therapies against S. aureus and related bacterial species.


For this you will need to work and maintain primary cells under sterile conditions, establish cell lines using lentiviral transduction, study cell signaling pathways using reporter gene assays. Formulation of nanoparticles using microfluids is a requirement. A general understanding about innate immunity would be a plus.

	Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field of biology, biotechnology or pharmaceutical sciences
