Uruk University is located in Baghdad, Iraq and was founded in 2015 with the vision to become a leading university driving socio-economic development locally and nationally. The university aims to supply graduates to meet the demands of the Iraqi economy, enhance students¡¯ skills, adapt to technological advancements, support scientific research and link it with the needs of the community.
The university has six colleges: dentistry, pharmacy, engineering, law, medical and health technology, administration and economy, as well as the two departments; medical devices technique engineering, and interior design. Across these subject areas, students can choose a range of specialisms to extend their knowledge and develop practical skills that they can carry into the workplace after university.
Baghdad is Iraq¡¯s capital city and has been a centre of learning since the eighth century. The city hosts an annual International Book Fair attracting visitors from across the globe.
