The University is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll and Pensions Manager to lead its dynamic Payroll Team within the Finance Directorate. The ideal candidate will have expertise in interpreting payroll regulations and a strong ability to stay updated with changes in taxation, pensions, and national insurance legislation.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate with relevant payroll management experience, and while experience in the UK higher education sector is desirable, it is not essential. Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills are required to effectively manage the team and ensure the smooth operation of payroll functions.

Qualifications

Applicants should have: (a) a doctoral degree in educational psychology or a closely related field; (b) a solid program of research as shown in a track record of high-quality research related to educational psychology, as evidenced in publications in top SSCI/SCI indexed journals; (c) commitment and ability to successfully mentor graduate students; (d) a global reputation for excellence in research in educational psychology as well as an excellent national and international collaborative research profile in this field; (e) demonstrated ability to teach educational psychology-relevant courses within undergraduate and/or graduate preparation programs; and (f) quality experience in leading and developing educational psychology programmes at the undergraduate and/or the postgraduate level. Good knowledge of education systems of Macao and Greater China regions will be a plus.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in/before August 2025.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor, MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. Apart from competitive remuneration, UM offers a wide range of benefits, such as medical insurance, provident fund, on-campus accommodation/housing allowance and other subsidies. The faculty Bursar of the MU Faculty of Medicine announces a?selection procedure for the position of Postdoc in?The Novel Mechanisms in Skeletogenesis?at the Department of Biology, MED MUNI

The project and responsibilities

The bone formation and skeletogenesis are complex processes many aspects of which are not understood. In order to produce treatments for developmental and aging bone disorders, we need to uncover molecular mechanisms that are involved. The selected applicant will lead a?project on mechanisms GRK2 kinase uses to produce and maintain healthy skeleton. This project will involve conditional mouse models, ex-vivo explants and cellular models; the approaches will comprise mainly morphological and histological analysis of the mouse skeletal tissues, establishment of primary cultures, and cell signaling experiments. Beyond the research tools and technology available in the lab and the hosting department, they will have access to the state-of-the-art instrumentation and services at the MUNI University campus core facilities. They will also participate in projects of other group members, including PhD and master students.

Qualifications:
