The Times Higher Education World University Rankings subject tables will be launched from 17?October.
The subject-specific tables follow the publication of the overall THE World University Rankings 2019, which was revealed on 26?September and saw the UK¡¯s University of Oxford claim the number one spot for the third year in a row.
Overall, 11 subject rankings will be published on four different dates. Each table has been expanded since last year, with eight of the lists including more than 500 universities for the first time.
The full schedule
- 17 October (14:01 BST) ¨C the top 666 universities in social sciences; the top 585 universities in business and economics; the top 428 universities in education; and the top 187 universities in law
- 31 October (14:01 GMT) ¨C the top 506 universities in arts and humanities
- 7 November (19:00 GMT) ¨C the top 751 universities in life sciences; the top 963 universities in physical sciences; the top 463 universities in psychology; and the top 721 universities in clinical, pre-clinical and health (launched at the in Moscow)
- 29 November (16:01 GMT) ¨C the top 903 universities in engineering and technology; the top 684 universities in computer science (launched at an event in Beijing).
The subject rankings are based on the same range of 13 performance indicators used in the overall World University Rankings 2019, but the methodology is recalibrated for each subject to suit the individual fields.
