The Faculty of Education invites applications for the position of Full/Associate Professor in Educational Psychology.

The Faculty of Education offers Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. programmes in various areas of education, hosting a group of nationally and internationally known faculty members engaged in the discovery, application, and dissemination of new knowledge. The Faculty of Education strives to become a leading institution for teacher education and educational research in Macao, the Greater China Region, and beyond.

Qualifications

Applicants should have: (a) a doctoral degree in educational psychology or a closely related field; (b) a solid program of research as shown in a track record of high-quality research related to educational psychology, as evidenced in publications in top SSCI/SCI indexed journals; (c) commitment and ability to successfully mentor graduate students; (d) a global reputation for excellence in research in educational psychology as well as an excellent national and international collaborative research profile in this field; (e) demonstrated ability to teach educational psychology-relevant courses within undergraduate and/or graduate preparation programs; and (f) quality experience in leading and developing educational psychology programmes at the undergraduate and/or the postgraduate level. Good knowledge of education systems of Macao and Greater China regions will be a plus.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in/before August 2025.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor, MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. 	A PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, or related disciplines;?
	Candidates should have considerable experience in academic development planning and research development, and be excellence in teaching, research and service with outstanding academic leadership skills for research and development;

	Substantial experience in securing research funding;

The Department of Portuguese of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Senior Instructor of Portuguese. The Department of Portuguese is an established and lively scholarly community. The Department offers an undergraduate degree in Portuguese Studies concentrating on Portuguese with selected courses in Language, Linguistics, Literature, Culture, History and Translation. At the undergraduate level, the Department also teaches Portuguese language within the Faculty of Law and offers elective courses in Portuguese as a foreign language to students from all faculties of the University. At the postgraduate level, the Department offers two Master programmes (i) Portuguese Language and Intercultural Studies; (ii) Translation Studies (Portuguese-Chinese), as well as one PhD programme covering different topics of Portuguese Studies.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess at least a Master degree in Portuguese Linguistics, Portuguese Literary/Cultural Studies, or Teaching of Portuguese as a Foreign Language. Applicants should have extensive experience in teaching Portuguese to non-native speakers at university level. Previous experience in teaching initial and advanced levels Portuguese to native speakers of Chinese will be highly valued. Applicants must be native speakers of Portuguese or to show a near-native command of the language. Proficient command of English is mandatory.
