The shortlist for the Times Higher Education?Awards Asia 2022 has been announced, with judges considering nearly 500 entries from 22 countries and territories this year.

Shortlisted entries represent the top contenders in eight categories covering the full range of university activities. A?further two categories are based on?THE?DataPoints data.

India was the best represented country on the shortlist, with 11?entries. It was followed by Malaysia, with 10?entries, and China, with?eight.

Shanghai University had the most shortlisted entries,?earning mentions in three categories. Several institutions appeared in two categories, including the University of Basrah; Izmir Institute of Technology; Lasalle College of the Arts; Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; National University of Singapore; O.P. Jindal Global University; Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP); Universiti Malaysia Sarawak; and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).

The winners of the fourth annual THE?Awards Asia will be announced on 31?May at a?ceremony that will close the first evening of °Õ±á·¡¡¯²õ?Asia Universities Summit in Japan.
